We shall be cruising from Ripon to York this weekend, one of the most beautiful cruises there is if you can manage to miss the clay huts!

Well, the weather put paid to that trip, we only got as far as Linton then had to turn back due to adverse weather conditions.
The wind and rain were shocking........still, it galvanised me into altering the windscreen wipers to actually clear the windscreen and not to just clear the frame at the bottom!
Enjoyed the trip down to Linton though, but the trip back up was a bit fraught as the river was rising rapidly, one of our boats had to spend the night on the cut at Milby (tied to a tree I believe) as the moorings were under water.
Boating, doncha just love it.
PS, is Summer here yet?

Have had problems on the Thames too, with "Strong Stream" , makes those Canals look attractive
