Water tank

Hi there, we were wondering if anybody out there had fitted another water tank next to the original tank?
We have found that the original one is to small for anything more than a couple of days away. We don,t want to fit another tank elsewhere in the boat as it would entail running pipes through the boat and we are trying to keep lyndel as original as possible.
As for how we are getting on with lyndel we couldn't be more pleased with her.
We have had a few problems with the fuel system leaking and have had to completely replace the pipe work only to find that the leak was coming from the new fuel tank that had been fitted before we brought her.
The tank was fitted with a drain plug which was sealed with a piece of PTFE tape and this was working as a wick which allowed the petrol seep out and as it leaked the fuel ran toward the side of the boat making it impossible to find without laying on my back in the bilges of the boat with my head almost under the tank!
We have taken the tank out and had the drain plug removed and the hole welded over so hopefully no more smell of petrol every time we open the the boat up. We are going to refit the tank this afternoon so fingers crossed.
