It is with great sadness that we have to report that we are selling Riverdance. :-[ We are upgrading to a larger boat in the next few days and Riverdance will be for sale. A lot of soul searching went on over the last six months when making this decision as we enjoyed our life with Riverdance but no...

Welcome back. It's been shocking here (as you have probably seen) Our marina was frozen most of the time from a week before Christmas to about 4 weeks ago (that's when the last of it melted) so we didn't manage to do any winter cruising. Have a good photo of two of our members sat on deckchairs in t...

No idea how to keep spiders off the outside of the boat, but we use conkers on the inside. Just place 2-3 conkers in various places inside the boat, never yet seen a spider on one of them! Think it's an old wifes tale. One of our members wife refuses to go to the boat anymore because of the spider p...

Happy New Year
Bit late I know but Happy New Year to you all.
Ripon marina now more like an ice rink and the ice isn't moving even whe the boats are heated. It's the thickest I've ever seen.

Winterising, or.......
Well, just returned from 35-40 deg of sun to a dark, freezing and dismal Ripon. Called at the marina on Friday and stayed the weekend to run the erbespatcher for a couple of days to air out the boat plus had the de-humidifier on most of the time. Checked the batteries and fuel levels and antifeezed ...

Dolphin Dolphin (owned by John and Audrey Harrison) has had a quiet year with only a few day trips. The hull has been anti-foul painted and the engine has had a few repairs, so she wasn't ready to play until June. The seathingy for the water pump had corroded badly and we had to get her out of the ...

Ha ha! Small world eh! Still the Albatross has undergone some work in recent years to try and regain its Gold Crown status and to some extent this seems to have been achieved but at the expence of its "owners" pockets! (Which is why we no longer "own" there and are in the process...

You seem to be doing exactly what we intend to do in a few years, spend the summers in England, mainly boating then running off to the sun for the w...

To Mick and all members
It would seem that the Nauticus website demise was grossly exaggerated and should be up and running again shortly.
Thanks Mick, your perseverance is greatly appreciated by all our members.
