How did your September cruise go? Any more clunks? If there's still a problem Dave suggests that you install an electronic ignition system. I suppose there are Nauticus purists who would be appalled by this idea.

I had this problem with JimFin last July. We would be going along and it was a big clunk, like the prop had hit something.
Turned out it was the dog clutch in the Enfield out drive. It was worn and was not engaging gear properly. I fitted a new modified gearshift and oh my, the difference was a smooth positive engagement with no more clunk.
