The Nauticus Canal Cruiser

Can any one help with some advice on refitting my outdrive. I have got some rubber to make a new gasket out of but Im concerned its a bit too thick its 5 mm. Also what is the best thing to seal it with when I mount it back to my boat and what are the correct torque settings.
